Next week Monday starts my Slovenian journey. Its gonna be a long 10 hrs drive to Ljubljana from Gent and most likely I’ll be deadly tired. The last weekend job before the holiday finally begins doesn’t seem less challenging either.
Anyway, Slovenia……..here I come!!!
Here is the basic plan of the journey from 18th August till 3rd September:
18th.......... Drive to Ljubljana
19th- 21st.... Ljubljana
22nd-23rd..... Novo-Mesto and river Kolpa area
24th-26th..... The eastern areas (Maribor, Putj)
27th-29th..... Triglav National park
30th-31st..... Ljubljana
1st -2nd...... Venice (Italy)
3rd........... Fly back to Belgium from Venice Treviso
The first part of the journey would be wandering around Ljubljana. I’m still searching a couch in Ljubljana but I haven’t been so lucky enough yet to find a host for me. Its coz I have been really busy lately and don’t have time enough to write CS requests. But I do have a host in Novo Mesto. During the Park visit, I will be staying at the park’s little huts!
Rest of the accommodation plan is still needed to be updated.
Hehe, if you have a couch free in Slovenia, Plssssssssssss do let me know! I Promise im gonna be a good guest!
There is a reason why I chose Slovenia for my east European trip. Well, Paulo Coelho, obviously! His book “Veronica decides to die” tells about a Slovenian girl. I, as an amateur translator of his books, thought it very necessary to visit Ljubljana before even I think to translate that book. His books have impressed my life in a deep way and I really hope to translate few other books after Alchemist.
Except this, rest is all back to normal! Summer is absolutely at its full speed and I’m doing my best to cope with it. I had a very busy and Gentse Feesten and had few days spent in Paris too. I guess I needed that peace from Paris to clam myself after those wild festival nights!
The blog was supposed to be updated frequently but it hasn’t been so. It has rarely become a blog to post my poems every now and then.
Anyway, life has its own turns and I just had to accept it. There were days when I would have liked to share many things about me but lately it has become more personal things and the blog hasn’t been as it was supposed to be. I hope my readers (if there are any ;-) ) weren’t disappointed for that.
To mention, Archana Khadka, a special friend of mine is flying to US on the same day I’m beginning my journey. She will be studying micro-biology for few years. I’ve been telling her the stories of studying abroad and hope she will have a fantastic time over there. I will keep my finger crossed!
Well, for my journey, I will try to keep myself closer to nature and avoid being a typical tourist. I’m very much open to my trip. I don’t like to travel in planned schedule anyway. Once I arrive in Slovenia, all I would be keeping in mind is my flight back to Belgium from Venice Treviso on 3rd of Sep. So, if you know any interesting place that this "Nepali-Belgian" guy should see, then your advices are highly appreciated. One thing for sure, I wanna see real Slovenian people, eat Slovenian food drink Slovenian beers and visit rural part of the country so that I can proudly say I HAVE BEEN to Slovenia.
Sometimes, we all have to feel
alone and frightened before
we can appreciate the life
that surrounds us.
Life changes as we grow,
and we must learn to accept this.
The more we learn, the more we grow.
Hurting, being scared,
feeling alone, and crying
are part of the learning process;
understanding our feelings
makes life challenging
and rewarding.
Going through difficult times
makes you who you are.
You have taken one of
the most significant steps
you will ever have to.
Enter each new day
telling yourself that
you deserve to smile.
Enter each new day believing
that you can make someone else smile inside,
because you are a beautiful person.
Your kind of beauty is inside you,
and it fills the world
with your presence.
People can feel that.
Be happy; your whole life
is ahead of you.
It is your life, your chance
to be who and what you want to be.
When time comes you find yourself in deep trouble
like a ship lost in the mid-sea during a storm
You want to cry and need a shoulder to lean on
Seem hopeless and could not move on...
Got no one around whom to count on.
Maybe you have totally forgotten me
Have given up on me for somebody
Think I am useless and nothing but a strange man
So you shun and make a mock on me.
You might be surprised when you turn your back
See me smile with open arms and extended hands
For unlike them whom you prefer to be with than me
I'll never give up...
Turn my back on you.
I'll be your candle
Offer you light so you may not stumble
Years have Passed since leaving home
journeying, a traveller alone
I am walking, my friend! Walking
away from the beginning, toward an end unknown.
Years have passed.....
Every morning I set out to walk
and every evening I light the stars
when every day ends the same way
Why does it make me so afraid?
Years have passed.....
When, as I go, wherever I stay
feels like my house to me
if I were to retrace to my steps tomorrow
how would I know my home?
Years have passed.....
All those promises we made
All those oaths we took together
Beautiful days we spent
Those lovely nights we passed
You are the one who brought dawn into my life
Do you recollect? Do you remember?
We stayed awake all nights
We were lost in each other
We spoke about our love
Out of loneliness
We met each other everyday
Do you recollect? Do you remember?
In your arms, I found solace and spent precious moments of my life
Your beautiful moon-like face that I etched on my heart
We were so close
And I happened to be your destiny
On my lips was your name all the time
Do you recollect? Do you remember?
In daylight, in my dreams
You are the one always in my sight
You are my life; you are what my story is all about
You are my destiny
I loved you and took you for my own
Do you recollect? Do you remember?
You gave me a place in your heart
With love, you lent colours to my dreams
Your lips I kissed,
In your arms I swayed,
In your eyes I dwelt,
Do you recollect? Do you remember?
WISHING YOU A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!!

Dearest friends,
Even I didn’t notice how soon it came back again…. Yeah, I’m talking about my birthday. One more year of experiences, ups and downs and stories has been added on my age last Friday (12 October). Since I was busy during the weekend, I decided to postpone the celebration a little forward and the celebration is absolutely incomplete without your presence.
So, I would like to invite you all for an aperitif drink on Wednesday (17 October) in Café AFSNIS at Sint-Jacob from 9 pm onwards.
I’m really looking forward to see you all there!
Don't let anyone steal your Dreams. Follow your heart, no matter what.
